Job Description:  NDT Sales Engineer


The NDT Sales Engineer will directly contribute to the growth and support of our non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions with a focus on ultrasonic testing (UT) equipment. They will help drive the sales process including initial customer requests, technical specifications, and quotations. You will provide technical application reviews using the customer samples and handle post-sales technical assistance. You will learn UT testing theory.  You will support our customers and field sales representatives to ensure the right product and software solution is provided.  This position can lead to marketing, sales, or more technical positions at Evident.


Job Duties:

  • Providing technical solutions support to field sales representatives, customers, and in-house staff.
  • Respond to customer requests for technical information and quotations.
  • You will help customers with software and equipment operation assistance virtually or in person.
  • Attend customer meetings and tradeshows to demonstrate our software and equipment.
  • Prepare competitive analysis for our sales representatives.
  • Contribute to marketing communications with technical writings, videos, and on-line seminars.
  • You will be responsible for training our sales representatives and customers on new features of our product.


Job Requirements:

  • 4 year technical degree required; mechanical or electrical engineering degree preferred.
  • Ability to learn instrument and application software and interface with customers.
  • Ability to understand how industrial machinery and manufacturing works to solve customer applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills to effectively communicate with customers and in-house staff.
  • Experience using CRM, sales automation, and sales enablement tools.
  • High proficiency with MS Word Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Vision requirements correctable to 20/20 vision
