Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Stockroom supervisor to manage and oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes and maximize warehouse productivity. The Stockroom supervisor's responsibilities include managing employees, maintaining accurate inventory and striving to achieve company goals.
 

To be successful as a Stockroom supervisor you should be experienced in optimizing warehousing processes, be an effective team leader, be dependable and have excellent organizational as well as time management skills. This is a working supervisor role; approximately 60% of time is spent performing tactical stockroom activities.

Job Duties

  • Supervising warehouse staff and daily activities.
  • Managing, evaluating and reporting on Stockroom productivity.
  • Maintaining a daily cycle count program, determining root cause of discrepancies and implementing countermeasures.
  • Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage and accuracy of goods and materials.
  • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Communicating and coordinating with other departments.
  • Champion Lean and 6S activities for continuous improvement.
  • Drive a culture of Continuous Improvement, team collaboration and productive environment in alignment with company Code of Conduct.
  • Work under minimal supervision with the demonstrated ability to establish personal priorities, plan workload and establish timelines for task completion.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action.
  • Assignments/Projects requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues.
  • A portion of the time is spent performing individual tasks related to the inventory team and the remaining time is spent working on projects assigned by management.
  • This position acts as the liaison to Production Management, Order Fulfillment, Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Shipping and Receiving.
  • Other leadership responsibilities as it relates to people management & disciplinary actions when needed.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required. Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.


Experience:

  • 4+ years of previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position.
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, management and MRP systems.

 

Skills:

  • Time management skills and the ability to delegate.
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerBI.
