Job Description: The Sr. Desktop/Mobile Applications Software Engineer performs Software development for new NPI (New Product Introduction) projects and perform integration testing and debugging. The NPI projects will utilize ~ 80% of workload; the remaining work effort will be in software support of related products. The Sr. Desktop/Mobile Applications Software Engineer will collaborate with other departments including Product Management and Customer Support in providing quick robust system solutions. This position will work with a dynamic team of systems software and electrical to improve existing and creating new NDT products.

Job Duties:

* Design software for desktop/mobile and cloud systems, coding unit testing and system integration on problems of diverse scope requiring judgment and creativity.

* Works collaboratively in a team environment.

* Mentors to junior employees or interns.

* Performs Design documentation and communication.

* Adheres to schedules and timelines.

* Performs software/hardware system integration using debuggers.

* Develops/executes test plans.

Job Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (EE/CE preferred).

* Minimum 5+ years of work experience with C/C++ coding required or an MS in Computer Engineering and 4+ years of experience.

* Experience in development tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Visual Code.

* Use of source control tools (preferably GIT) and building and testing code in a multi developer environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Strong SW development skills with experience/proficiency in some or all the following languages/frameworks C, C++, C#, QT, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, Angular/Material, Python.

* Demonstrable experience in full stack cloud development with experience developing on the Microsoft Azure platform is a plus.

* Develop cloud side UI applications/dashboards which allow users to interact with data sent from devices.

* Work with cloud backend developers on implementing and testing REST APIs for data transfer/storage/retrieval. Experience building/using software APIs.

* Practical experience with databases (SQL, SQLite) and designing for optimum performance.

* Adaptable, open minded, and ready to change in a fast-evolving environment.
