Job Description

Under the supervision of the Global Director, the position holder is responsible for supporting the development of the product line (ultrasonic and eddy current sensors and related inspection solutions), the sales force and the customer base. The position holder actively participates in the development of the products, related solutions, and the creation of product development documents including pre-sales, post-sales and go-to-market tools. Under guidance of the Product Leader, and in collaboration with colleagues from other product lines, as well as R&D, the position holder will be responsible for developing new NDT inspection solutions by performing application tests and developing application-specific inspection methods. The position holder also contributes to the continuous improvement, support and sustainment of the product line(s) for which he is responsible.

Job Duties

Support the sales force and train users:

  • Actively contribute to the technical and commercial support of the sales force and customers for assigned product line(s);
  • Generate custom product proposals for customers and the sales force;
  • Respond quickly to questions and requests from customers and the sales force;
  • Develop and deliver training for solutions and related applications to the sales force and customers as needed on a global basis.

Contribute to the development plan:

  • Collect and quantify market needs and make recommendations for products improvements;
  • Actively participate in the processes related to new product specification definition according to the guidance of the Product Leader and the Global Director;
  • Ensure that development priorities, decisions, and actions are aligned with the product development plan;
  • Carry out analyses, maintain KPIs, make diagnoses, build tools, and propose solutions to problems encountered and implement them

Participate in marketing:

  • Develop product/solution documentation as well as sales and after-sales tools/documents according to the guidance provided by the Product Leader and the Global Director;
  • Actively participate in the launch of solutions and new products to the market;
  • Perform any other related tasks requested by his/her superior.

Research and development

  • Actively participate in the identification and development of new solutions based on our current product portfolio;
  • Work closely with Engineering teams and Project Management to facilitate product development by executing NPI deliverables according to the milestone process;
  • Carry out measurements and product validation as part of research and development projects;
  • Participate in the design of new NDT methods in collaboration with more experienced colleagues;
  • Participate in the presentation of internal technical results in collaboration with more experienced colleagues.

Be involved and actively participate in the development and implementation of the culture of continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Technical skills:

 

  • Bachelor's degree Preferred in Engineering Physics, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent;
  • Experience with Excel programming is an asset
  • Preliminary notion of non-destructive testing is an asset;
  • Experience in marketing is an asset; 0-3 years
