Job Description

Inside Sales Representatives will be responsible for Lead Management and Sales Qualification for inbound leads generated through marketing activities. Once qualified, leads would be assigned either to the Field Sales teams or kept within Inside Sales through order closing.

The Inside Sales Representative is also responsible for end-to-end sales of assigned accounts from approaching until order taking, to maximize turnover and opportunities though the promotion of new solutions and cross/upselling proposals. They will also constantly acquire new accounts by means of market exploration and the execution of lead generation activities towards potential new market niches.

Job Duties

  • Sales Qualification of the inbound leads and assessment of the customer potential for correct customer segment allocation.
  • Manage inbound leads from different channels (web, workshops, trade shows, webinars) via e-mail and phone/text.
  • Outbound sales activity to customers to demonstrate the value of our company and equipment solutions.
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end sales responsibility of assigned customers from approaching phases until order taking including: product presentations, technical support to define best product to offer, virtual demonstrations, quoting and negotiation & closing.
  • Management of own sales activity and pipeline according to existing guidelines to reach yearly/monthly sales quota by product line. Constant follow-up and maintenance of own pipeline and lead flow in the CRM system matching the established KPI.
  • Development of the customer portfolio by actively researching potential customers by exploring new markets, applications, or geographic niches or through the execution of targeted initiatives towards customer acquisition.
  • Constantly seeking the development of the existing customer portfolio by offering new products or cross/up-selling opportunities.
  • In cooperation with the Marketing department provide support planning & execution of proactive sales campaigns towards assigned customer segment.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in science or engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience is required.
     

Experience:

  • One-to-five-year proven history of success in a business-to-business or business-to-customer environment.
  • Prefer experience with technical instruments and applications software.
  • Prior sales experience, in either an inside or outside role, is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM is desired.

 

 

Skills:

 

  • Excellent selling/presentation skills, relationship building, negotiating, closing and account management skills.
  • Experience in use of virtual/digital channels applied to sales & lead management processes.
  • Technical mindset capable of strategic thinking for product configurations & quoting
  • Proficiency with life science microscopes or similar biological equipment is not required but is preferred.
