The Digital Pathology Integration Solution Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering robust, scalable, and secure integration solutions that connect digital pathology platforms with clinical, research, and enterprise systems. This role ensures seamless data flow, image management, and workflow optimization, enabling healthcare providers, researchers, and diagnostics organizations to leverage advanced digital pathology technologies for improved patient care and operational efficiency.

The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical informatics, software engineering, and vendor partners, to define integration architecture, select appropriate technologies, and oversee solution delivery from concept through deployment. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in systems integration with a strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, digital pathology platforms, and enterprise IT environments.

The role works and reports into a highly matrix work environment and reports to the National Digital Pathology and collaboration with both the Clinical and Research Commercial Teams.

 
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Realization of HL7/DICOM Integrations: Prepare, document, and test our HL7/DICOM interfaces.
  • Network Configuration and Support: Configure and troubleshoot network settings during installations and service operations to ensure seamless integration.
  • Second-Level Support for Sales and Service Staff: Assist our team before and during installations, maintenance, or remote service operations.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Aid our Sales Team during technical requirement discussions with customers, LIS or IMS vendors.
  • Internal Training Support: Prepare and conduct software and integration training for our Service and Sales Teams.
  • Demo Systems Development: Develop and maintain demo systems and concepts for our Sales Team
     

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  •  Degree or Background: Technical degree or background in IT or a related field.
     

Experience:

  • Programming Experience: Experience in programming or scripting, preferably in Python or JavaScript.
  • Operating Systems Knowledge: Proficiency with both Linux and Windows operating systems, including command-line tools and system administration basics.
  • Interest in Modern Tools: Motivation to learn modern technologies and tools such as remote monitoring tools, integration engines, cloud technology, and internal software products.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to present complex technical information clearly and confidently interact with customers.
  • Independent Working: Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented work approach.
     

Skills:

  • Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with HL7 and DICOM is a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to understand user requirements and workflows and translate them into effective interface designs.
     

Other Considerations (travel/hours availability, etc.):

  • Travel Responsibility 30 to 40% for National USA Territory.
